Kenzo Kenzo World

July 19, 2017

Kenzo World perfume review | The AccordsI’m a total sucker for good marketing and I can’t help but smell green melon in Kenzo World, surely because of multiple viewings of Spike Jones’ incredible campaign film of Margaret Qualley dancing like a fierce lunatic in the most amazing deep green dress. Now that I’m drunk on the overdose of ambroxan World contains, all I smell is aquatic smashing melons. And it’s fabulously strange.

World is intentionally weird (though not weird enough for some Kenzo fans who hoped for more). Just like Qualley, Kenzo world is still sweet enough to be stylish (and to sell). Fruity at first with an abstract pink peony heart, the washes of skin-scented, warm and wet ambroxan keep the scent dancing on the skin for hours. Definitely suited to humid tropical territory (or the moist micro-climate of a crowded nightclub…).

chord, a harmony.
